2017Nine women met weekly to teach each other to read the contracts they were signing as domestic workers. Word spread.
2019We registered as a society and opened our first learning circle — 40 women, one rented room and a volunteer teacher.
2021The first stitching and tailoring cohort graduated. Within a year, a third of them were earning from home.
2023Local leads opened circles in 12 districts. Every one of them is run by a woman who graduated from an earlier program.
TodayOver 12,000 women have come through a program — and the waiting lists keep getting longer.

A mix of individual donors, philanthropic grants and a small social-enterprise stream. Every rupee is audited annually and our reports are published on this site.
Yes. Training, materials, childcare and transport are covered so that cost never decides who shows up.
Local women hired from the districts they serve. Most of our program leads first joined us as participants.

SSW works alongside women and communities across Pakistan through training, education, health and rights programs that women run themselves. We believe lasting change happens when women lead the solutions in their own districts.
